#CherryJuice: Jay-Z, Nas, Future on Meadows Music and Arts Festival lineup

Festival season is approaching, and this year’s Meadows Music and Arts Festival looks like a must-attend. The recently announced lineup for the Sep. 15-17 event includes headliners Jay-Z, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Gorillaz, with many other top artists and groups filling out the bill. Future, Nas, Weezer, LL Cool J, M.I.A., Erykah Badu, Migos, Action Bronson, and Joey Bada$$ are just a handful of the performers making their way to Citi Field in Queens this fall. The event is only in its second year, but is produced by Founders Entertainment– the same company that produces the popular Governors Ball Music Festival. In fact, the Meadows Music and Arts Festival was formed after the third day of the 2016 Governors Ball was canceled due to the threat of severe weather. Kanye West’s was one of the many nixed performances last June, but Founders Entertainment booked him to headline the inaugural Meadows Festival– giving New York fans a second chance to see the “Famous” rapper live. However, this second performance was cut short after Kanye was informed that his wife, Kim Kardashian, was the victim of a robbery in Paris. Hopefully, there won’t be any such incidents this year. Tickets for the 2017 Meadows Music and Arts Festival go on sale on May 10 at noon, and start at $275. To purchase tickets, get more details, or view the full lineup, visit the festival’s website.
