FMHipHop is extremely excited to announce that celebrity journalist, Joel Randell, has joined our team! As a 12 year veteran magazine editor for print and online publications, Joel has come on board as FMHipHop’s Content Strategy Manager.
“First and foremost, it’s exciting and an absolute honor to work with Cherry Martinez,” says Joel of FMHipHop’s founder and CEO. “As a veteran in the radio game, her name no doubt rings in these streets. I’m happy to be on board as FMHipHop’s content strategist.”
Joel is a journalist who began his career writing for premium media outlets such as The Source, VIBE, Star, and Us Weekly, just to name a few. Most recently, Joel has been an editor and on-camera producer for Maxim, where he’s conducted interviews with A-List celebrities including Evelyn Lozada, Marlon Wayans, and Chrissy Teigen.
“I’ve known Joel Randell for about 8 years, so I’m very familiar with his work at Maxim,” Cherry says. “I’ve always admired his work ethic and professionalism. He’s loyal and knows the digital market very well. We’re extremely excited that he’s joined FMHipHop, and look forward to him enhancing the FM brand. Its going to be a hot year, so stay tuned!”
Aside from his accomplishments as a journalist and editor, Joel has also been featured in Essence magazine as “Eye Candy of the Week” THREE TIMES! Talk about beauty and brains!
As a content expert, Joel will be an asset to our daily operations and help drive FMHipHop to the top.
