The Academy Award-winning actress, Lupita Nyong’o, has recently announced her support with WildAid. Known as a wildlife conservation group whose mission is to reduce global consumption of wildlife products – WildAid has made Ms. Nyong’o their Global Elephant Ambassador. This was the first time Lupita appeared in her native country, Kenya since she won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in “12 Years a Slave.” In a press conference that occurred at the Villa Rose Kempinski – the actress emphasized how proud she is of her Kenyan culture along with a request to the community.

“I am proud of my Kenyan heritage, and part of that heritage is the incredible wildlife haven that is in our care,” said Lupita. “I have come to realize that when you know more, you do more. I want to encourage people all over the world to learn more about these animals.”
