Kinky B, Jeezy’s former friend, and business partner was a guest on the Big Facts podcast. He claims Jeezy’s street credentials took a hit when he attempted to patch things up with Gucci at the Verzuz battle. “That man, in the United States of America, any street n***a lost all respect for that man that f**king day,” Kinky B said. “He lost all his street credibility that day due to the fact that I don’t give a fuck, when a n***a lose their life, man, ain’t no peace. They’ll never be peace. Never, ever.” Jeezy and Kinky B were involved in a legal battle in 2012 after Kinky B sued Jeezy and DefJam for $5M for profits for songs he allegedly helped produce and promote. The court ended up ruling in Jeezy’s favor.
Gucci and Jeezy’s beef started over the ownership of their hit collaboration “So Icy”. Things escalated when Jeezy allegedly put 10k on Gucci’s head. This ended with Gucci murdering Jeezy’s associate Pookie Loc in 2005. All charges against Gucci were dropped in 2006 after the court agreed he acted in self-defense. Gucci then dropped his Jezzy diss song “The Truth”where he bragged about the murder of Pookie Loc.
At the Verzuz battle, Gucci kept that same energy. The first song he performed was “The Truth” where he took the opportunity to diss Pookie Loc. He also threw several subs referencing the 10k Jeezy put on his head. Jeezy, instead of being baited, decided to take the mature and reconcile. At the end of the battle they performed “So Icy”, the song that started it all. Social media wasted no time dragging the trap godfather saying “Jeezy went out like a b***h”
