It seems that DaBaby’s legal problems have been a mixed bag lately. The Charlotte rapper is out of hot water with gun charges that have been active since January 2021, but he could still face a judge in the matter of his bowling alley brawl with his ex, DaniLeigh’s brother.

The L.A. County DA rejected the gun case against DaBaby that has been in the works for over a year. The trouble started when DaBaby was arrested for supposedly having a weapon on him during a Beverly Hills shopping spree.

Although DaBaby was booked for carrying a loaded weapon, it seems the DA chose not to prosecute due to lack of evidence. The DA’s report of the incident seems to support that reasoning.

According to the report, a security guard claimed he saw a gun when DaBaby lifted up his shirt. The guard then called the police, who caught up with DB and his crew before searching their vehicle and finding the gun.

When nobody claimed ownership, the cops arrested DaBaby based on what the security guard witnessed. But it seems that this wasn’t enough to file charges.

DaBaby’s attorney, Drew Findling released a statement. “We’ve been 100% confident in Mr. Kirk’s innocence since the day of this incident and are appreciative that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office has made a similar determination,” Findling said.

However, DaBaby isn’t out of the woods just yet. There is still the looming case over his scuffle with Brandon Bills, DaniLeigh’s brother, which took place on February 10. A lawsuit was filed against DB days later by Bills, with talks of a deadly weapon charge in play.

Though law enforcement believes that this case could get some real consideration by the DA, some are skeptical. The DA has made it known that low level crime isn’t a priority for his office. We’ll have to wait and see if DaBaby is charged for his role in the incident.
