The Miami police department questioned rapper DaBaby over a shooting that left two people hospitalized.
DaBaby was investigated by Miami Police over a double shooting resulting in injuries. The rapper was performing at a private event at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night outside a local steakhouse in the area. Multiple shots were fired, resulting in two people injured. However, it is unclear what the shooting was about. One of the men was seriously injured. The other treated for a bullet wound in the leg. One of the witnesses was DaBaby. He was questioned and released. Two suspects were brought in on charges.
One of the suspects was Wisdom Awute, a rapper and member of DaBaby’s escort team. The second was Florida resident Christopher Urena. As a result, both men were charged with attempted first-degree murder and assault with a firearm.
In addition, Urena faces charges of grand theft. Also, he attempted to steal a car that was in the valet area of the restaurant. Police caught him quickly. He said that he was moving the car for the steakhouse.
Moreover, the shooting was the end to a violent weekend in Miami. Firstly, two people were killed and 21 were injured in a mass shooting Sunday. Also, the shooting was at an event hall that was rented out for a concert. Secondly, on Friday, one person was killed and six injured in a drive-by shooting. Suspects have not been arrested from these events. We hope there will be peace going further.
