DJ Khaled is excited that a positive impression about his new album comes from Jay Z, a big name in the industry. Khaled had the influential hip-hop artist in the studio for a private listening session. Jay-Z refers to himself as “Hov, the God of rap,” so DJ Khaled naturally had to seek the American rapper’s counsel in the album – “God Did.”

Receiving a nod from Jay Z is also a symbolic booster that Khaled wants music lovers and fans to share. Hence, the multiple pictures of the activity on his Instagram handle.

For now, the post about the positive review from Jay serves as one of the public’s windows into what the new album may be like. “They didn’t believe in us. HOV DId and when HOV believes history is made #GODDID,” DJ Khaled posted regarding Jay-Z’s support on Instagram, kicking off several thousands of likes and comments.
