President Donald Trump criticizes the NBA for boycotting in support of black lives matter last week.
After accepting the 2020 Republican Party Nomination last week, Donald Trump finds time to criticize the actions of the NBA. Trump took to Twitter to express his opposition towards the NBA’s boycott.
People are tired of watching the highly political @NBA. Basketball ratings are WAY down, and they won’t be coming back. I hope football and baseball are watching and learning because the same thing will be happening to them. Stand tall for our Country and our Flag!!!

” People are tired of watching the highly political @NBA”, Trump said via Twitter on Monday. He also sends out a message to the NFL and MLB. ” I hope football and baseball are watching and learning”, Trump said. ” The ratings are WAY down”, Trump said before mentioning the NFL and MLB. Last week, he insisted that he did not know much about the NBA boycott. He also criticizes the boycotts by calling the NBA a ‘political organization’.
Although the NFL season has yet to start, Major League Baseball teams showed support to the NBA boycotting there scheduled games last week.
The boycott started last Wednesday when the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to play against the Orlando Magic in game 5. The boycott in wake of the Jacob Blake lead to sports players in serval leagues to boycott and delay their scheduled games.
Last week, NBA players voted to resume the playoff season. The playoffs resumed last weekend.
