Drake signs one of the biggest record deals in music history via UMG Recording Company. The deal is reportedly worth 400-million dollars. This deal covers everything from publishing to promoting the artists products and production.
Big Bag Drake
Drizzy is no stranger when it comes to making a bag and topping the music charts. Record executive Steve Stoute at UMG Recording Company once said:
“Drake is about to get the biggest bag in the history of the business by far. If Drake goes independent, the music is over.”
Stoute did not fabricate or exaggerate with this statement since Mr. OVO has managed to continuously prove his value. He has consecutively topped the Hot 100 Billboard Chart for over 430 plus weeks. He also has numerous number one singles and collaborates with artists of different genres. Therefore, the money he makes and will be making equivalates to over 700 million.
YMCMB Forever
Under YMCMB (UMG Music subsidiary), Drizzy was under contract and has served his term under them for several years. His relationship is still cordial with them despite him having his masters and own music company. However, he never forgets that he is a product from them and their CEO Lil Wayne. Their relationship inside and outside of the music business is great. They have done multiple collabs and music projects together that has garnished millions of fan worldwide.
Drizzy Takeover
Mr. OVO has the option to go independent at any time he chooses with his music career. He has the funds and the support of his music affiliates and entourage to make his own name with the recording company business. The question is, “When will he or Will he?” The music world awaits his next venture as he makes lucrative business decisions that allures his fans and spectators attention.
