The title was given by none other than Spotify’s RapCaviar. Despite tough competition. Including Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, and 21 Savage. It seems the fans have spoken, and Drizzy is continuing to hold the top spot.

RapCaviar’s Instagram couldn’t help but boast about the decision, proclaiming, “The people have spoken. 2023’s #AllRapCaviar MVP is Drake.” It appears this award was based on fan votes, and there’s no denying that Drake’s fanbase is one of the most dedicated in the industry.

Drake’s On Top-Not Everyone Agrees

However, not everyone was thrilled with the announcement. As always, with success comes the haters. Frustrated rap fans flooded the comment section of the post. Adding comments about not just Drake, but also at RapCaviar for the decision. “Drake hasn’t dropped anything good since Scorpion,” one person claimed. Another sarcastically wrote, “Drake could fart into a mic, and his d riders would still vote for him.” But let’s be honest, these negative comments are nothing new for the Toronto-born superstar.

Drake may not have dropped an album in 2023 yet. But rumors are stirring about his upcoming project, “For All The Dogs.” Which is expected to hit the airwaves soon. However, even without a new album, he’s been making moves in the industry. He’s been busy collaborating and dishing out assists. For instance, his menacing appearance on Travis Scott’s “UTOPIA” album. The 6 God is making his presence felt without even dropping a full-length project.

Drake’s impact on the industry has earned praise from all corners of life. Including NBA superstar Kevin Durant. In an interview with RapCaviar, Durant boldly stated that he would start Drake over rap heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole. The forward for the Phoenix Suns even placed Drizzy at the top of his list of the greatest rappers. Placing him alongside legends like JAY-Z, Biggie Smalls, 2Pac, and Scarface.

While Drake’s on top, it’s essential to recognize other rising stars in the industry. Destroy Lonely got the title Rookie of the Year by RapCaviar. This highlights the emergence of fresh talent in the ever-evolving world of Hip Hop. Artists like 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Metro Boomin, and Lil Baby also made the All-RapCaviar First Team. Showing the diverse pool of talent that continues to push the genre’s boundaries.

Drake’s music continues with his current “It’s All A Blur Tour.” Which recently touched down in Philadelphia. Adding to the night’s significance, he was joined on stage by his former foe Meek Mill. Symbolizing the power of reconciliation and unity in the music community. During the show, Drake paid tribute to Gillie Da Kid’s son, Cheese, who tragically lost his life the previous month.

Love him or hate him, there’s no denying that Drake has an impact on the hip hop world. As we look ahead to the rest of 2023, we’re on the edge of our seats for the release of “For All The Dogs.”

Congratulations to Hip Hop’s 2023 MVP, Drizzy Drake!
