There’s nothing like holding real estate as an asset, which Drake knows quite well. Recent headlines read that real estate investors are eyeing Drakes’ Hidden Hills property.

On Mar. 7, Drizzy listed a few of his properties. One of those properties was the YOLO (You Only Live Once) estate in Hidden Hills–the primary mansion he listed at $14.8 million. However, his listing also included adjacent properties. As a source noted,

“Drake is also selling the 2 estates next door, making for a 6.7-acre compound at the end of a cul-de-sac. You can have all 3 properties for a sweet $22.2 million package deal!”

Some investors eagerly took interest.

The Investor’s Plans

No one knows if the “Thank Me Later” artist had specific plans for the property he put on the market but, undoubtedly, new potential buyers have plans of their own.

“YOLO Estate is drawing the attention of real estate developers who don’t really give a crap about its legacy as a celeb party palace — instead, they wanna tear it all down.”

Drake’s Plans

Drake put the properties on the market, but as far as we know, there were no stipulations to the sale of the property. The plans for the properties would be at the behest of the investors.

The concern is the destruction of a legacy in razing the properties. However, it is arguable that there is more to an artist’s legacy than their property. In fact, the legacy of very few artists is tied up in the properties they own. Many artists own many properties in a lifetime and, in the present moment, Drake doesn’t seem concerned.

Drake’s Legacy

People tie a lot to a star’s impact on the world, whether it be property, catalog of work, or likeness. The most incredible legacy an artist can leave is their impact on an individual. If Drake sells the property, then he takes a win because, with the capital, the possibilities of what he can do increases. One can say it’s a win-win. Whatever the outcome, we will see if Drake has anything to say on the matter, so stay posted.
