Drake’s “Take Care” Has Spent Over 7 Years on Billboard Charts

Drake continues to solidify his name in the industry since Take Care has spent over 7 years on the Billboard 200 charts.

Drake’s sophomore studio album was released 9 years ago on November 15 in 2011.

Take Care was the follow up to the rapper’s debut album, Thank Me Later.

According to Chart Data, the album has been on the chart for over 400 weeks.

With classics like the title track featuring Rihanna, “HYFR” featuring Lil Wayne, “Marvin’s Room” and “Crew Love” featuring OVO labelmate, The Weeknd, it makes sense that critics have argued that Take Care is the defining album of his entire career.

With multiple songs leaked online, it still debuted at #1 on Billboard Hot 200. Take Care sold 613,000 units in its first week.

In 2019, Billboard announced the album as their official “Rap Album of the Decade”.

Drake’s legacy continues with the upcoming release of his next album, Certified Lover Boy, which has been teased to drop in January 2021.
