#FreshJuice: Empire Cover Emmy Magazine!

Although Empire’s first season finale aired in March, the talk of the show and its unexpected hit status has remained in the headlines. This time, the two stars, Terrance Howard and Taraji P. Henson cover Emmy Magazines July issue, on stands, June 9th.

We’ve seen a lot of coverage of Taraji in the fashion arena, along with her SNL stint, Terrace has been a bit more low key. Both though, shine in this cover spread, highlighting their individual appeal, as well as celebrating their great chemistry together.

The shoot is reminiscent to the spicy, tailored vibe of the show photographed by Mike Ruiz of Aardvark Artists. This show is an ideal combination of style, drama and suspense, and a lead like Cookie was obviously missing on the T.V scene.

Empire’s leading lady is proud to be a part of this project at this particular time in TV history. “I haven’t seen anybody like Cookie on prime-time television before,” says Henson, who’s aware she’s found the role of a lifetime in the straight-shooting, designer label-loving, ferociously loyal mama Lyon.
