FKA Twigs Dishes On Her Relationship, Music & More!
FKA Twigs has been topping the charts for quite some time now. Yet, she’s managed to stay out of the headlines. Now that she’s engaged to actor Robert Pattinson, however, things have changed in a major way.
In a recent interview with Complex magazine, the pop star revealed that she’s struggled to adjust to her newfound fame. Not really one to crave the spotlight, Twigs has always been incredibly low-key. Now, she’s finally breaking out of her shell, appearing on the cover of the urban magazine, and sharing some really intimate details about her personal life.
She tells Complex that she’s received a lot of racist messages online in response to her and Robert’s engagement. The news of her engagement was leaked by one of her good friends T-Pain during an interview. She says though the attacks are “horrible”, she tries not to let it get to her because she’s in an amazing relationship, and that’s all that matters.
The 27-year-old also divulged that being a celebrity isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.
‘If this is what being an artist is, I’m not really sure this is for me. This [the press cycle] is horrific. I could be doing dance class right now.’
Though Twigs seems hesitant, she does say that she’s incredibly thankful.
‘I’d always worked hard at music and at dancing, but I never thought I’d get the opportunity to be doing this, and have the belief of people to give me a budget to make a video…These things are incredible.’FKA is currently working on the visuals for her last album, entitled EP3.
