The featured artist for #FMSpotlight is Ryn Hills. Hills is a NYC-based Rap and R&B prodigy from Pine Hills, FL who’s been practicing his craft since 5 years old. His talents in music range from being a drummer, pianist, producer/engineer and a guitarist just like his father, Thomas McClary, who is the legendary guitarist and founder of The Commodores.

After briefly attending college at Florida A&M University, Ryn got an opportunity to tour with his father as vocalist and guitarist in The Commodores Experience band. Hills time on the road elevated his skills as a drummer, guitarist and singer.

As of recently, Hills has released his new music video for his single “Peter Parker”. The video was shot in New York and depicts a very fun, refreshing vibe, which is important for the world to have something like that right now. Continuing his theme of slick, lighthearted visuals (check out “Escargot”) Ryn Hills “Peter Parker” literally packs a powerful punch with its melodic, lively vibe. The single, which features fellow singer Roe Lindsay is a comical account of a love triangle that goes awry.

Both “Escargot” and “Peter Parker” were created during the COVID-19 pandemic, showing that his love for music and grind isn’t going to slow down, no matter what issue may arise.

His musicality and sense of humor shines bright in the music video. With the hook “Girl, I’m Peter Parker. I’m the cameraman.”  The song is infectious, buoyant and eases tension at a hostile time in America. Take a listen below.
