The Girls Vs. The Doll

The term “Twitter fingers” has been taken to another level over the weekend for rappers JT of the City Girls and former 1017 labelmate Asian Doll. On Sunday, Asian Doll went on Instagram live to play her verse for Megan Thee Stallion’s record Do It on the Tip, which features The City Girls. Asian’s verse was cut from the song which debuted on Megan’s album last month. Many fans were left wondering why Asian even released her verse to begin with, while others feel that her’s should have actually been on the track rather than The City Girls.

It caught many fans attention on Twitter when JT began tweeting what was assumed to be subliminal messages to Asian. JT clapped back to onlookers by saying “here is how I deal with shade” and uploaded a screen recording of her blocking those who quote tweeted her tweets asking if she was referring to Asian Doll. The following day however, JT decided to get some things off her chest, this time directly tagging Asian Doll in. The drama unfolded as the two began going back and forth exchanging not so nice words and even hinting at a potential link up to fight. Fans immediately tagged in Yung Miami the other half of the City Girls and Santana, the best friend of the City Girls.

Santana had his own prior beef with social media celebrity Rolling Ray so he then added himself into the mix throwing shots at The City Girls and Santana as well, and even included a preview to his diss track titled “Santana” which will be released this weekend.

While all of this was happening, Megan Thee Stallion took to dropping in her two cents with a quick post and delete. It seemed to fans as if Megan has become more of a messy celebrity — stirring the pot and creating drama. Asian felt as if her friend was not being much of a friend to her during her online battle with the City Girls. However, Asian ended off tweeting “Me and Megan still friends idgaf about no song I did in my sleep.”

JT eventually waved the white flag once the argument started to get out of hand, and all of her tweets regarding the situation has been deleted.
