Leading up to election day, many celebrities used their platform to bring awareness to the importance of voting and shine a light on the presidential election, such as Beyoncé, Lizzo, Lady Gaga, and more!
Millions of outstanding votes yet to be counted leave many celebrities on pins-and-needles as they watch the results unravel on social media. Keep in mind that it may take over a week for all votes to be counted due to a large number of mail-in ballots. These celebrities can relate to that weary feeling in your stomach right now, even if their bank accounts don’t.
Trump quickly took to Twitter to declare an early victory, “I will be making a statement tonight. A BIG WIN!” Since then, it’s been reported that President Trump suspected that mail-in votes are being miscounted and will file a lawsuit against Michigan to stop the vote count. President Trump’s campaign says it will also request a recount in Wisconsin after unofficial turns show Joe Biden leading the state.
Jimmy Kimmel responded with a tweet, “a man who hasn’t even lost the election, claiming the election was stolen.”

This is what John Legend, who has campaigned for the Biden-Harris ticket had to say:
This feels like 2018. A lot of stress and premature takes until all the votes were counted and the democrats did quite well. Let them count.

Meanwhile, Kanye West garners almost 60,000 votes in this year’s election. He says, “God is so good. Today I am voting for the first time in my life for the president of the United States, and it’s for someone I truly trust…..me.” Kanye’s antics don’t stop here; he made it clear that we will be seeing him again in the 2024 election.
