#FMSports: NBA Finals – Game 3 (RECAP)

Published

on

The Miami Heat defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 115-104 in Game 3 of the NBA Finals at the Bubble. This is the Heat’s first win in the Finals so far, setting the series to a 2-1 record. Miami’s outstanding performance was led by Jimmy Butler (@jimmybutler), who put up 4o PTS, 11 REB, and 13 AST. Butler is now the 3rd player in NBA History to record a 40+ point triple-double in the Finals. The Lakers played a rough game. They were not able to connect shots and the Heat played great defense. Then, star player Anthony Davis quickly accumulated 3 fouls in the first quarter, causing Lakers head coach Frank Vogel to sit him out during most of the game.

“This was a very desperate, urgent game, and he was doing it on both ends of the court… he’s in the top percentile of this entire association in terms of conditioning and you saw that he just got stronger as the game went on”–Miami Heat Head Coach Eric Spoelstra

“I thought Jimmy was phenomenal. He did everything that they needed him to do tonight and he came through big time at big-time game and we’ll watch the film to see ways we can be better going into Game 4 but I thought he was great. Love it. One of the best competitors we have in our game and we love that opportunity. For me, personally, I don’t know how many more opportunities I’m gonna have so to be able to go against a fierce competitor like that is something I’ll look back on when I’m done playing”Lebron James

NBA Finals: LAKERS at HEAT – Highlights

The Miami Heat are putting up a battle against Lebron’s Lakers. We will have to wait for the results of Game 4 to see if there will be a Game 6. Game 4 is expected to be more hard-fought given that Miami’s star players Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo will be making a comeback after being ruled out due to injury suffered in Game 1.
