#FMSportsTalk: Fight Overshadows LeBron’s Home Debut

Published

Saturday Night Fights at the Staples Center!!!

If you like NBA action with a side of boxing or wrestling, last Saturdays Lakers-Rockets game was for you. A game that had the home debut for LeBron as a Laker was overshadowed. Saying this with Chris Paul and James Harden as the opposition is remarkable. People forgot the final score as tempers flare. Harden was fouled by the Baby Laker Brandon Ingram and pushed the Bearded One after. Then the fireworks would erupt.

Rondo vs CP3

So Rajon Rondo and Chris Paul would exchange pleasantries before Rondo spit in the face of CP3. Paul  put his finger in the Lakers point guard’s face. The two players exchanged punches before LeBron would pull his banana boat brother away from Rondo. Then in a surprise twist, Brandon Ingram would throw haymakers in the middle of the scuffle. All 3 players(punchers) were ejected. Continuing on the bad blood between the 2 point guards, Rondo’s girlfriend and Chris Paul’s wife had words for each other.

The Aftermath!!

The Rockets would win the game 124-115. Floyd Mayweather was on hand to see the fight(game). No word on if he can get Paul/Rondo in the ring. LA’s Nipsey Hussle and H-Town’s Travis Scott were on hand but I rather see them link up on music. Brandon Ingram was suspended 4 games. Rajon Rondo got 3 games and Chris Paul got 2 games. The Lakers will play the Rockets again on December 13th in Houston. I think Rondo should have gotten more games. Spitting on someone is very disrespectful. He is lucky CP3 didn’t rearrange his face. LeBron received heat for restraining Paul instead of joining the ruckus. Those 2 gentlemen are brothers and were at each other’s weddings. That wasn’t happening.
