Huey V is a Milwaukee-based musician who signed to Warehouse Music Group after being discovered by Memphis Bleek. He’s also gotten co-signs from legendary artists like T.I., Rick Ross, and Casanova 2x.
Recently, the emerging artist debuted a visual for his song “No Regrets.” From a lyrical standpoint, Huey V expresses how he stays on guard when encountering snakes, saying, “Before I let a nigga play me in my face gone be the day, you lose your life for disrespect.“
Elsewhere, he opens up about what he’s accomplished thus far, along with bars on what he hopes to achieve. Following this, Huey speaks about a loss that affected him in a major way.
He spits, “I ain’t laugh since ‘96; I watched my best friend get into them bricks and fucked around and lost his life behind that shit.”
Regardless of the ordeals life threw his way, Huey turned his “L’s into M’s.” The prolific rapper intends on enjoying what all life has to offer with no regrets.
“I got in my bag when I lost everything I had/This life, it ain’t been easy, I just make that shit look average,” he delivers.
The visual, directed by KDS Visuals, finds Huey V putting his work ethic and determination on full display. You can also see Huey V attest to his prominence as he drops rhymes in a singsong fashion. Sonically, the song draws from somber trap arrangements.
“No Regrets” is streaming everywhere with a new album, currently untitled, slated for a 2021 release on Warehouse.
