#FMSpotlight: Milli Metoyer and ParisxArt – ‘Weed Floating in the Wine’ (Listen)

Listen: Milli Metoyer and ParisxArt – Weed Floating in the Wine

Milli Metoyer and ParisxArttwo musicians initially from Alexandria, Louisiana but are now based in Dallas, TX, have recently dropped a project titled “Weed Floating in the Wine.”

The seven-track project contains a mesh of hip-hop and R&B offerings, a perfect complement to the duo’s free-spoken wordplay and autocroon. Correspondingly, the themes on Weed Floating in the Wine are divergent. They speak on their success, experiences with women, top-tier ice, and other luxurious goods. Additionally, the two open up to fans about what’s on their minds, finishing it off with bars for wannabe “big shots.”

Weed Floating In The Wine isn’t the only collaborative work that Milli Metoyer and ParisxArt have done. They both connected beforehand for a single titled “Wake Up,” which received a lot of attention in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The music video landed a placement on Revolt TV’s Untapped.

“POSED 2” carries a hip-hop beat with menacing piano loops. In summary, both emcees drop warning bars for haters and phonies, telling them to “keep the same energy in person.”

N*ggas keep on talking about me and myself/Keep talkin’ I’m a deal with myself.” Milli Metoyer says.

HIT!” has an instrumental akin to Playboi Carti’s musical styling. In two minutes and ten seconds, they drop braggadocios rhymes, speaking about how their diamonds hit. Subsequently, they talk about seeing beyond facades presented by women.

Milli Metoyer spits, “I’m the plan; you commit/Baby lookin’ good, olive oil with the cocoa butter/I ain’t trippin’ on it, cause I know she only wants me cause my diamonds hit.”
