One of Michigan‘s rap veterans, Rio Da Yung OG, is back with a banger called “Cold Hearted.” The three-minute and ten-second song is paired with a visual showing his day ones reciting the lyrics.

Supported by a Bay style-type beat, the ill spitter takes a straightforward approach to speak briefly about his upbringing before getting into his current lifestyle. Afterward, the rapper details his retaliation approach towards opps who test him.

“N*gga took a shot at me/Now his picture on a tee.,” he spits.

As the song continues, Rio Da Yung OG elaborates more on his fortune. He emphasizes his money-oriented mindset and speaks about the result of his success.

Confident in his pen game, the MC spits

Believe it or not, I go Ripley’s on the beat.

He even takes time to shout out his best friend Peezy. Pitchfork actually highlighted their relationship in a previous article. Moreso, Peezy made a song dedicating the rap star.

Alphonse Pierre said:

On “Rio Flow,” the mentor is influenced by the mentee. Years ago, Detroit staple Peezy invited Flint’s Rio Da Yung OG to the Eastside of Detroit and ignited a Flint rap renaissance.

The song closes with Rio detailing his money tactics and airing out the haters’ dirty laundry.

He raps, “I feel like Gucci and Future in 012/I got free bricks.
