Serayahrelishes in the pleasure she takes from her and a beau’s sensual quarrel in “Revenge.” Her emotion is heightened by a mesmerizing bedroom R&B beat produced by CNOTE.
Admitting that their back-and-forths liven their intimate rendezvous, she sings
“When I think about it/Chills take over my body/There’s passion in the violence/That’s why you always start shit/Break up to lay up/I know what you like.”
The EMPIRE star follows up by detailing her payback,
“I might block you/Tell your friends about you,” Serayah sings. “So much a revenge that feels so good/This shit drives me crazy.”
Additionally, the songstress unveils that they put their disagreements to rest through friskiness between the sheets.
“Fightin’, undercover’s how we make up.”
Their falling out is nothing to worry about. In the blink of an eye, the couple is back in each other’s arms.
“Solely temporary/It’s not over/We gon’ start it up,” she croons via the second verse.
As the song continues, she calls him out for his lack of communication, demanding he corresponds with some action.
“Revenge” ends with her iterating that nothing could ever tear them apart.
“Don’t take long while we make up/Sparks gon’ fly when we make up/We been in love from a breakup,” she sings.
“Showing a side of me people haven’t seen before,” Serayah told Rated R&B about her new song. “Revenge breaks the ice.”
“Revenge” will be the first single to come off her upcoming LP. Aside from creating music, the multi-hyphenate has starred in several music videos and in shows like Kingdom Business, BMF, and Empire.
