Busta Rhymes Release “Girlfriend” Video With Reggae’s Finest
Bless up FM Trendsetters! Directed by long time video collaborator, the infamous Benny Boom (Touch Itvideo), Busta Rhymes takes us on a trip to his native Jamaican culture, with this visual masterpiece for his hit lit single “Girlfriend“, featuring Tory Lanez (Say It, Luv) and international artist Vybz Kartel (The Teachers Back, Unstoppable). Not only did the Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can Seerapper take us to Yard (Jamaica for those who don’t know), but he invited some legends to cameo. Of course, you know any Busta Rhymes video is not complete without three things:
Spliff Star
Dancing
Comedic Sattire
Not to mention in the video, there was an extensive amount of Patois spoken. But not to worry, subtitles follow as fluent as the language throughout the video.
The video begins with an awesome view of Jamaica. Followed by our artist being picked up by none other than reggae veteran Beenie Man (Girls Dem Suga, Who Am I) at Kingston’s Norman Manley International Airport. But the cameo appearances do not stop there. The video features cameos from the reggae world’s own Junior Reid (One Blood) , The “Murder Dem” DJ Ninjaman, the controversial Foota Hype, Bounty Killer and female reggae artist Spice. An incarcerated Vybz Kartel even makes an appearance in the video to recite his verse of the hot reggae hip hop mash up.

Tory Lanez, the other collaborator on this dancehall infused track, takes us to the dancehall. The Say Itsinger reminds the reggae ear of a young Tanto Metro and Devante, with his vibrant vocals that compliments the track and the dancehall scene of the video.
This video has all the bells and whistles of a great dancehall, reggae, and hip hop mash up. Fans of Busta Rhymes and reggae will enjoy.
