Casanova, Tory Lanez and Davido Release 2am Visual

Salutations FM Trendsetters! Rocnation artist Casanova released a visual for his new dancehall-infused banger called “2am“ featuring Toronto’s own bad boy Tory Lanez and Nigerian sensation Davido over the weekend.  The Brooklynite released the music video via social media and his VEVO/YouTube channel.  The crossover dancehall hit consist of two locations and an awesome storyline; hustler goes international in the streets of Atlanta, Georgia in the United States and Shitta, Lagos, Nigeria. Meanwhile, the main character Casanova serenades his Nigerian lover girl to wait up for him and to withstand the consequences of living the life he lives and the grind.

The musical movie starts off in an unknown restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia where the Rocnation artist enters with women on each arm in attempts to serve a deal with the “work” that’s depicted as a black duffel bag.  Fast forward to Shitta, Lagos, Nigeria, which shows him on the rooftop of the slums, with hood people around him, as a random Nigerian man runs through the streets of the African hood with an identical black duffel bag that was seen in the ATL scene of the video.

The music starts with the melodic crooning of the Say It singer complementing the well instrumental dancehall beat, in which keeps you interested and dancing through the whole video.  You see visuals of hood villagers with hyenas as pets, similar to New York hood gangsters toting rocwilder dogs or pit bulls.  The whole ambiance is not just gangster but very musical, with the Set Trippin emcee embracing Caribbean patois in his lyrics. Last but not least, the Nigerian hometown hero Davido lends his vocals to the track and regal presence as well.

An excellent video that keeps you interested with every scene. Including the beautiful African women dancing in the club and complete exposure to the dancehall underground of Nigeria that not many heard of.
