Eminem enlists Beyonce for his new single “Walk on Water” and it’s unlike any other Eminem song. Eminem is known to be a trendsetter and rule breaker, but you have to add innovator to that list as well. This new single “Walk on Water” which is set to be on his new album Revival, isn’t your typical Marshall Mathers single, it’s not even a typical Hip-hop single. While most would expect a huge sounding song from Eminem since it’s the first single off his album and Eminem usually comes with a big sounding single or a controversial single,“Walk On Water” while it’s no party song or a silly catchy tune it stand’s on its own.

The song starts with the beautiful melodic voice of Beyonce and beautiful music and in the background, you can hear what sounds like Slim Shady writing and then tearing up paper and starting again and you can hear him getting frustrated, It’s not long before Eminem chimes in with his verse,A verse that sounds like it’s right off the top of his head, with no drums on the track just a piano, Marshall goes in and expresses his feelings. “WalkOn Water “ seems to be about the frustration EM feels when it comes to creating music and giving it to the fans. It’s like he already fights with himself to make the best music possible then he has to deal with fans comparing it to his old albums or comparing him to the greats, while everyone feels he is one of the greats he doesn’t fully agree. The chorus of the song explains things so clearly and it sounds so beautiful hearing Beyonce sing it” I walk on water but I ain’t no Jesus/I walk on water but only when it freezes. The song is just a cry to the world letting them no That artist are only humans they can’t be compared to Gods, they make mistakes every song won’t be a hit but they try. While this song probably won’t get a lot of  spins on Hip-Hop stations I think it was made to be Therapeutic and with that, I say way to go, Eminem
