Vic Mensa’s Gets Trippy Rollin’ Like a Stoner

Just months after the release of Vic Mensa Album The Autobiography: As told by  Vic Mensa Vic hits us with the trippy video that takes us straight into the mind of Vic Mensa. Flying high and swerving through lanes of traffic, landing right on a stage of an empty hall.  Bright colors and clouds of smoke with a 90’s vibe “Rollin’ Like a Stoner” is feeling like a crazy night on the town!

Directed by Vic and Will Hasty “Rollin’ Like A Stoner”  gives you a John Waters-esque vibes “The ‘Rolling Like A Stoner’ video is about reckless abandon and escapism,” said Vic. “The whole thing was filmed on a stage, as a comment on life as an entertainer. I was watching films like Bye Bye Life and Birdman, and 1920s westerns.” 

At the end of October, Vic is set to go on the 4:44 Tour with Jay-Z starting out in Anaheim, Calif. then making stops in New Orleans, Miami, New York, Detroit, Boston, Washington, D.C., Atlanta and more. Vic Mensa has also teamed up with Tidal and MusiCares for a hurricane relief benefit concert. On Sept. 30 Vic had pop-up show at the Bowery Ballroom here in New York City to raise goods and money for of the recent Hurricane victims.

“With so many heartbreaking events happening across the world, I’m eager to lend my support to victims of the recent hurricanes and other natural disasters,” he said. “MusiCares initiative is doing amazing things on behalf of the music community so it’s a perfect match.”

The Chi-town native is showing us there is no limit to what he has up his sleeve, “Rollin’ Like A Stoner” has me excited to see what else Vic has in store for us!
