Young Thug “The London” ft. J.Cole and Travis Scott

A trio we never knew we needed

Young Thug’s long-awaited new single has arrived. On Thursday, May 23rd, “The London,” produced by T-Minus, dropped. The song features appearances from both J.cole and Travis Scott. This makes for a trio collar unlike any other. The song was rumored by Thug showing snippets of studio time on his Instagram story a few months prior, It was even teased around on flyers at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, earlier this month. “The London” is Thug’s first single to drop in 2019 since  2018’s album drop “Hear No Evil.” Since then, he’s featured in a few songs including up and coming Lil Keed’s single “Proud Of Me.”

SLIME SUMMER SINGLE

The London” displays the signature drones of Travis Scott, as he dominates the chorus before J.Cole slides on the track for the lengthy first verse with a bit of auto-tune to match the vibes. Young Thug brings his signature vocals to the track in the second verse, singing in falsetto after spitting the first bars with pitch changing croons. Throw in a few adlibs fashioned in autotune and some overlapped verses to finish it off, and you’ve got “The London” The theme? This is definitely a flex song, with each rapper speaking on their success, money, and ability to do whatever it is they want. The cover art shows a “slime green” cover with a spider in the middle. The song title is listed above while artist’s names are below the spider. A simple cover for a  slime song to start off the summer.

The single released on Youtube and has since received over six million views. Thug’s hibernation might be over, and “The London” shows promise for future singles to drop. Make sure you check out “The London” and let us know what you think? Is it YAY or NAY?
