Freddie Gibbs spits “2021 NBA Finals Freestyle” ahead of game 3
As Freddie Gibbs prepares to release his latest studio album Soul Sold Separately later this year, he has taken to Twitter to build hype for the upcoming project. In collaboration with Genius and ESPN, Freddie Gibbs drops NBA Finals themed bars in an exclusive newly released freestyle. The rapper from Indiana released the freestyle on his timeline prior to Sunday’s Game 3 of the series between Milwaukee and Phoenix. Gibbs takes advantage of his limited time with a welcome display of skill and witty references to several star players.

Freddie Gibbs drops NBA-themed bars in his music consistently throughout his projects over the years. Songs like Bandana’s “Giannis” and Pinata’s “Lakers” and “Knicks” all demonstrate the love Gibbs has for the game. One can likely assume that when “Soul Sold Separately” drops later this year that Gibbs will carry on the tradition. While Gibbs hasn’t released much information, he has hinted that the “classic” will feature Pharrell, Madlib, Working On Dying, The Alchemist, Sevn Thomas, Hit-Boy, Mike Will Made-It and maybe Metro Boomin on the production.
