Obey Your Verse Campaign Commercial Released
Incase you missed it – The “Obey Your Verse” campaign recently released their latest commercial during the NBA Finals series and its starring none other than Drizzy Drake and Nas! Known to have a long-running history with hip-hop, Sprite has featured artists throughout the years in their campaign.
This year, Drake and Nas star in the Sprite ad which features footage from their concert that happened during the NBA All-Star Weekend this past February in New York City’s Irving Plaza. In the ad, you see the two rap stars meet backstage while an edited section of Drizzy’s “0 to 100” plays in the background. With both rappers being alumni of the campaign – it is easy to say that this is one advertising idea well planned. According to
Radio.com – Nas’ association with Sprite and “Obey Your Verse” goes back to that initial ‘90s campaign while Drake first started working with the soft drink in 2010.
“Know Yourself. Know Your Worth” is one of the 16 quotes that will be highlighted in Sprite’s limited-edition cans. The exclusive soft drink cans will feature four different rap artists: Drake, Nas, Notorious B.I.G. and Rakim.
Keep an eye out for those cans. Sprite will be selling them starting Summer 2015.
