Rick Ross collabs with super-hot producer

Jahlil Beats on a joint called “Work”

Less than a month ago, Rick Ross dropped his Black Dollar mixtape; 17 refreshingly authentic tracks from the Florida native. This is notably one of the only Summers Ross hasn’t dropped singles or a project, so he was well overdue to say the least. The tape is jampacked with features and the stylings of the hottest producers. Although the song “Work” was not featured on the mixtape Black Dollar, the Ross and Jahlil Beats joint definitely stands out.

The beat for “Work” has a very futuristic, Sci-Fi Trap sound with crisp 808s and aggressive drill drums. It is by far the most different trap sound to come forward in a while (Future is a given). Ross shows not only his lyrical abilities, but also his sense of humor on the track. Lines like “take off my shirt and show my abs like I’m Tupac” are pretty clever and entertaining (although we prefer the shirt stay on).

Rick Ross has almost overnight reclaimed his status as the ‘Boss’ of Hip-Hop. Black Dollar is the proof. Check it out now!
