Tory Lanez has no intent on letting his buzz die anytime soon; the boy is on FIRE right now! Fans and critics alike are saying he is the closest thing to Drake (another Singer/Rapper hybrid). Every Friday he has what is called Fargo Fridays; where he releases new music for fans enjoyment. This past Friday he just released a new joint called “initiation”, produced by Benzel.
The artist, who is interscope-signed, has other hits out like “Diego” and “Say It“. Diego is a ‘trap rap’, urban type of tune, while “Say It” is a sampled 90s R&B type tune (see any Drake in this guy yet?!). It seems that he is swaying more toward singing than rapping, as he drops yet another R&B joint with “Initiation”.
“Initiation” has a very spacey ambience. There’s definitely some PND influence as the songs style sounds very hollow with ghostly vocals and fragmented “slurry” lyrics. This song does electronic R&B justice and definitely sounds like something Drizzy would hop on for a verse; hell maybe even a duet! (Drake is still tryna bring Jodeci back). Stay tuned to more Fargo Fridays and let us know what you think!
