Timbaland, Tink, & Future take us on a UFO ride with their latest collab.
Timbaland has played a significant role in bringing the world the artist we know as Tink. Depending on who you talk to, some would argue that she’s the closest thing to Aaliyah for this generation (some have argued that Tinashe was). It is apparent that Timbo believes so, as he re-released one of Aaliyahs Classics “One In A Million” with his new collaborator and muse; Tink. This song with certainly raise stark opinions, so in the coming weeks fans will be able to determine if this was a HOT track, or merely a flash in the pan. At the very least, it will be a dope song to Future fans. In 2015, its hard to do wrong with Future as your featured artist!
The song coasts along very smoothly, with each artist giving their consistent stamp and signature of sound as it goes. Timbos verse is well..vintage Timbaland; with his upbeat energy, jumpy rhythms, and straight forward subject matter lyrically. Tink adds a sexy female perspective to the concept of the song; hitting mellow, R&B hums and harmonies. Future is the last to bless the track with raspy vocals, trapped out flow, and lady friendly lyrics tied together with his signature melodies. (Meek doesn’t consider this rapping). All throughout the track, the three collaborators are heard carrying an interestingly well blended harmony for the hooks.
Word is that the track “UFO” is going to be part of Timbalands upcoming LP, Opera Noir. The vibes created by the artists of this song are strangely familiar yet fresh. But tell the truth; Who you feeling the most on this song?!
Quotable Lyrics:
He could be alone with a dancer
Hear it in his tone when he answer
Four or five bitches in a week
But if I go out to cheat
Then I have no standards
But tonight I’mma leave
Find me someone in these streets
Frequent them slowly and not feel emotion
Cause he would do the same to me
