Healthy Tips to Help Keep Your Skin Looking Flawless

When thinking of summer foods ice cream, BBQ, and Piña Coladas come to the minds of many. But beauty junkies who want to maintain their flawless skin, know better! Skin needs to be properly hydrated and nourished from the inside to glow on the outside.
Lots of sugar can lead to major breakouts while alcohol can dehydrate skin leaving it itchy and dull.  Summer time goodies may be delicious to eat but not so great for your skin. Trying to keep that summer shine at a level of perfection? Turn to these seasonal foods!

1. Citrus: Vitamin C doesn’t only reign supreme when it comes to your immune system. Grab an orange or toss a slice of lemon into ice water to help produce collagen in the skin. Collagen is responsible for keeping skin silky smooth.

2. Cucumbers: Almost as effective as an entire glass of water, cucumbers will help keep skin aglow as it hydrates. This super food can be digested or placed on skin externally for equally great skin benefits!

3. Chia Seeds: The summer heat can sometimes leave skin puffy and inflated. These little power seeds can deflate skin and calm redness quickly. Toss into a green smoothie for added hydration and antioxidants, both skin favorites!

4. Water: Perhaps the most important on the list! Water is the key to success when achieving flawless skin especially in the summer. After a long day outside or after exercise water key to detox, keep skin glowing, and restore lost nutrients.
