After releasing The Sun’s Tirade in 2016, Isaiah Rashad has pretty much been a ghost. Luckily for his fans, this is changing.
Last month, he dropped a new single with “Lay Wit Ya” featuring Duke Deuce. He also formally announced his next album, The House Is Burning, and appeared on an episode of “The Cave” with Kenny Beats. He even shared a throwaway track on SoundCloud.
Now, he’s continuing to feed the people.
A new single is on the way
Today around noon Eastern Standard Time, Rashad took to social media to preview a brand new song. Alongside a short visual, he shared a 40-second snippet of “Headshots (4r Da Locals).”
The teaser also reveals that the single will be releasing this Friday, June 18.
The track seems to feature his classic sound that fans have come to love. Even the title features some familiar lingo reminiscent of his 2016 track “4r da Squaw.”
Rashad, alongside heavyweights like Kendrick Lamar and SZA, is a part of Top Dawg Entertainment, a label notorious for taking their time to release albums. Originally slated for a June release, we’ve got fingers crossed that The House Is Burning will still release soon.
