Cole fans are loving his new foray into basketball. If you loved him before you are loving him even more now. Drake-yes that Drake-recently helped J. Cole sign with the Canadian Elite Basketball League Team – the Scarborough Shooting Stars. J. Cole just signed last week. J. Cole Makes his Professional Basketball debut!
Co-owners Nicholas Corino and Sam Ibrahim confirmed that Drake help to put the deal in motion for J. Cole to join the team. J. Cole is a long-time basketball fan. J. Cole from all accounts wants to be treated the same as everyone else. According to the Toronto Star he was not the best player nor the worst. He just wants to play.
The most exciting thing about his debut is that he scored his first basket (or bucket as they say in Canada). Timed coincidentally alongside of the America’s NBA finals. He scored a three pointer at that.
Cole met Carino at a birthday party for Drake in 2021 and the conversation started about him joining the Stars. Talk about having multiple dreams come true at once. A legendary music career and now a sports career. Most people can only dream of achieving one of those goals.
Cole will have another chance to play on May 29, 2022 when the Shooting Stars play the Alliance in Montreal.
