In a recent rare and candid interview, Jay-Z sat down to discuss his children.

Unlike other interviews,  in a press release on May 2nd, Jay-Z’ took a minute to focus on his children and the possibility of them being in the entertainment industry.

What fans came away with was a much more intimate portrait of “Hova.” The revelation of his sentiments demonstrates that “Jigga,” is more than a businessman and an artist. But, he is also a loving and supportive father with an intense devotion to his kids.

As a parent, it is not unnatural to entertain questions regarding future expectations for your children. As superstars, the spotlight burns excessively bright. Unfortunately, inquiring minds want to know everything. Questions such as the one Jay-Z entertained are not uncommon.  Fans want to know, will the young lads follow in the footsteps of their successful parents?

Jay-z is straightforward regarding his children!

He lets the public know that love and nurturing is his focal point as a parent. In his words;

“He doesn’t want his children to feel pressured into following their father.”

The 51-year-old mogul went onto say that he does not directly oppose a future career in the industry for his children. But rather, his focus is on providing a loving space. Jay’s response is certainly one deserving of respect and reveals an incomparable depth of character. Given his statements. it is not hard to see why he has gained, the level of notoriety that he has within the black community.

As for Blue Ivy, Sir, and Rumi, only time will tell what is ahead. However, Blue has already shown her budding talent in her mom’s acclaimed 2020 visual Album, “Black is King.”  It is not hard to see their potential for greatness, especially with a music royalty bloodline in the forms of Beyonce’ and Jay-Z in their corner.
