Jazmine Sullivan took the R&B world by storm when she released her debut single “Need U Bad” produced by Missy Elliot, off of her album Fearless in 2008. The single debuted at number 37 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and spent a total of 34 weeks atop the hottest R&B and Hip Hop songs.

With follow up singles, “Bust Your Windows”, “Lions, Tigers, and Bears”, and “Holding You Down (Going In Circles)”, Jazmine solidified her place in the music industry and was not only honored by Billboard as their Rising Star of 2010, but also received Grammy nominations for Best New Artist, Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B song, and Best Contemporary R&B Album in 2009.

Surprisingly, in January 2011, Jazmine announced that she would be taking some time away from music. She tweeted, “I promised myself when it wasn’t fun anymore I wouldn’t do it. And, here I am. I’m not saying I won’t ever sing again in my life because I don’t believe that. But in this moment… right now.. [I] got some things to figure out.” However in 2015, the songstress returned with the release of her third studio album Reality Show, stating to Billboard “[I] can’t escape [my] calling.”

Since then, Jazmine has lent her songwriting abilities and vocals to the likes of Frank Ocean, Mary J. Blige and Bryson Tiller but now she has finally returned with her own solo single, “Lost One.” Listen below!
