Jeans For Refugees is a global initiative facilitating innovation, communication and collaboration to raise funds for refugees worldwide. All the jeans featured on the runway have been donated by celebrities to be painted by designer Johny Dar. Each piece is being auctioned online and the proceeds will be donated to the International Rescue Committee.

This runway presentation was a live viewing of the Jeans For Refugees collection, which enabled the audience to see the wearable art pieces on the body and in movement, so they can choose their favorite piece to bid online. The couture pieces feature original Johny Dar prints with hand-painted embellisment. All one-of-a-kind avant garde pieces that were presented in the show will also be auctioned for the refugee cause, and the procees donated to the Big Heart Foundation.

Each expression that was shown on the runway was created as an affirmation that every human being has a unique and equal value, and a right to live in stability, safety and peace. From refugees to celebrities, this is a initiative that champions humanity. Every life deserves a chance, and whether by contributing time, skills or resources, everyone can help to create change.

The Jeans For Refugees NYFW show featured jeans from Alicia Vikander, Anna Wintour, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman, Claudia Schiffer, Elle MacPherson, Emma Watson, Eva Longoria, Florence Welch, Karlie Kloss, Karolina Kurkova, Kate Moss, Rachel McAdams, Shannon Elizabeth, Sharon Stone, Sofia Coppola, Tuppence Middleton, Twiggy and Victoria Beckham. The bare-chested male models sported jeans donated by Benicio del Toro, Daniel Radcliffe, Harry Styles, Jamie Theakston, Joaquin Phoenix, Nicholas Hoult, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Waits, Guillaume Nery and Usher.
