Jennifer Hough has filed a motion in court, asking a judge for a default judgement against the Petty’s. As you may recall, Jennifer Hough, the victim of Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty, filed a lawsuit against the couple back in August. Hough accused them of harassment and intimidation. They wanted her to recant her story about being raped by Petty in September 1994. According to Hough, she was on her way to school one morning when she spotted Petty at bus stop. After speaking to him for a brief moment, she turned her head, and that’s when Petty grabbed her, pushing what she believed to be a gun into her back. He forced her down the street and into a house where she said he raped her at knife point.

In 1995, Petty was convicted of first degree attempted raped and was sentenced to 18-54 months in prison. He served less than four years. In addition to his sentence, he had to register as a sex offender. In March 2020, Petty was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender in California where he and Nicki Minaj moved to in 2019. He now faces up to 10 years in prison and a lifetime of supervision after release. His court date is scheduled for January 24, 2022.

So, of course this created a situation for the Petty’s. According to Hough, Nicki Minaj reached out to her personally, in regards to helping helping them out of that situation. She allegedly wanted Hough to recant her story about the rape, which meant that Petty would no longer have to register as a sex offender, even though he was a convicted sex offender. Hough refused. She said that several offers and bribes were made to her and her family by Nicki Minaj and her associates, however, they were all declined. So when money didn’t appear to be working, the threats started to roll in, including one that appeared to be a death threat. That’s when enough became enough.

Hough Files Lawsuit

Hough hit the Petty’s with a $20 million dollar lawsuit. She accused them of harassment, witness intimidation, emotional distress, assault, battery, sexual assault, and sexual battery. The lawsuit also stated that Petty violated his plea deal when he allegedly directly and indirectly threatened her, telling her not to speak about the rape accusation. In September, in her first televised appearance, Hough did an exclusive interview on The Real, alongside her attorney, where she spoke about the harassment and the lawsuit. Right after the show, Hough started to receive a slew of threats from the fans of Nicki Minaj. Although the rapper has taken to social media to address other things, she has remained silent about the lawsuit.

The Petty’s Fail To Respond To Hough’s Lawsuit

The lawsuit was filed on August 13, 2021. Documents have confirmed that the Petty’s were served on September 13th. They were given 21 days to respond, which they have failed to do. Because of this, Hough has now filed a motion in court against the Petty’s asking a judge to grant her a default judgement. If the default judgement is granted, Nicki Minaj could be out of millions of dollars.
