Today, JID showcased both the tracklist & production credits for his new album, The Forever Story dropping this Friday (Aug. 26). The album appears to be 15 tracks and the only credits missing from this reveal are the guest appearances from featured artists. For now, fans can take a look at which producers the rising Atlanta rapper chose to score his new project. The Forever Story serves as the follow-up to his Dreamville debut project The Never Story. Most fans & casual listeners were introduced to JID through this high-quality 2017 release. Now, take a look at his’s The Forever Story tracklist below:
Hidden Features & A Missing 16th Song
Many were excited to see what artists JID will collaborate with on The Forever Story upon the tracklist reveal today. While the features are still a mystery, there aren’t that many of his peers who can (or want) to keep up with Dreamville’s brightest star under J. Cole. There are tons of talented producers who made it onto the final tracklist including Monte Booker & Christo (who produced the most songs). It’s unfortunate that the song 2007, which is supposed to be the outro, couldn’t make the album due to its sample usage. What Else We Know About JID’s New Album
The album is finally arriving on our streaming service accounts & libraries this weekend. Both lead singles Dance Now with Kenny Mason & Surround Sound featuring 21 Savage & Baby Tate. As mentioned above, it was supposed to be 16 songs until the original outro was removed. Overall, things are shaping up very nicely for this release & hopefully we’ll see which other artists will appear on one of the most highly anticipated albums this year.
