Lyrical Giants Collide On New Single, “Johnny’s P’s Caddy”

In the era of clout chasing, dissing dead opps, and social media flex, Benny the Butcher and J. Cole collaborate and deliver some clarity. The artists, thus, recorded a new track.  Also, this is the first single from the Griselda artist’s upcoming album, “Tana Talk 4.” The drum-heavy, no chorus, lyrical onslaught definitely lives up to the hype, and here is the review:

“Come easily? no good, don’t be surprised I outlast these niggas It’s like they put out a smash thеn they gone in a flash, admit it—And then thеy made tracks and diss us like that’s gon’ add up the digits (Fuck you doin’?).” – Benny the Butcher

“They wanna know what I brought to Griselda, I say, “Validity” They asked’ “What work y’all niggas putin?” I’m like, “What didn’t we?”— Benny the Butcher

Benny the Butcher leads the way on this Alchemist’s produced track solidifying his place in hip-hop for the long term. Rapping his rise to fame, Benny uses analogies to explain the depths of hardships he endured to arrive here. Benny raps, “In the game, I used to train like Rocky, catchin chickens.”

Confidently, the Buffalo MC raps about maintaining longevity in this rap game and not faltering like other rappers. Artists such as Blueface and Desiigner have released hit singles to become irrelevant due to their inability to continuously create music that appeals to the masses. This trend seems more prevalent than ever, with untalented artists chasing TikTok singles, i.e., The Island Boys. Instead of rappers improving their craft, artists resort to dissing another rapper in hopes of clout and/or a resurgence. Regardless of any diss song or attempt on the Griselda member’s life, he seems undeterred from claiming his stake in the game.

“On God, The Best Rapper Alive” – J. Cole

J. Cole returns in 2022 for his 37th birthday (January 28), with spicy bars that could be misconstrued as a slight to other rappers. The fearlessness is evident in “Johnny’s P’s Caddy,” as Cole raps. “Of course, I’m tryin’ to revive a sport that’s dyin’/But the guns and the drug bars that y’all relyin’.” Cole continues with the bars, “Got these nerds thinkin’ that you niggas hard as I am/But that just mean I ain’t as comfortable as y’all with lyin’.”

It seems the “Middle Child” rapper has assumed the title of the “whistleblower of rap.” Daringly calling out rappers who tend to deceive the culture and their fans.

J. Cole’s breathtaking feature didn’t stop there as he claims the “best rapper alive” title. The platinum artist also claims to out-rap Jesus on a track, “Nigga want me on a song, he gon’ see the wrath of the reaper, I’m prolly gon’ go to Hell if Jesus ask for a feature.”

Benny the Butcher acknowledges “Johnny’s P’s Caddy,” was no small feat, as he stated in a recent Rolling Stone interview. “Any rapper will tell you when you’re working with someone like Cole it’s like a match of wits,” Benny shared. “You gotta go crazy because you know he is. Iron sharpens iron. You want it to be an environment where someone has the presence to push you.”

When Is The Album Release?

“Johnny P’s Caddy” is on all major platforms, including the YouTube video above. Benny the Butcher has yet to announce an official release date for Tana Talk 4.
