The Juice WRLD Estate is Facing a Lawsuit From Producer Ghost Loft
In the past week, the Juice WRLD estate has posted two unreleased songs by the late rapper. One of the songs is a remix of his hit single “Lucid Dreams,” featuring rapper Lil Uzi Vert. The estate also uploaded “734,” an unreleased track, to fans’ excitement. Fans were excited to have access to new/updated music from Juice WRLD, who died in late 2019 from an overdose.
Following this news was less exciting news: producer Ghost Loft filed a lawsuit against the Juice WRLD estate. Ghost Loft claims that 16 lines of his 2013 song “So High” were stolen by Juice WRLD, and featured on his Goodbye and Good Riddance song “Scared of Love.” The producer did not receive credit for his lyrical contribution or production on the track.
Ghost Loft is seeking credit, compensation for damages, and demands the estate no longer receive profit from “Scared Of Love.” There have been no further comments from Juice WRLD’s family or estate. The producer has yet to say anything publicly on the matter. Fans have been clear to side with Juice WRLD, feeling that he should able to rest in peace. Fans feel that the producer should not press charges on the matter of the rapper’s death.
