The giant Monster Lake Ranch is up for grabs as Kanye West plans to sell his home. Located in the city of Cody, in the northwest of Wyoming, the ranch sits for $11 million. According to Hip Hop DX, West is selling the ranch for $3 million less, originally buying it for $14 million in 2019.
According to People, the ranch was known as the “Monster Lake Ranch.” However, Kanye renamed the property West Lake Ranch, though he preferred to call it “Yeezy Campus.” West did not pay the full amount, purchasing only 4,500 acres of the 9,000-acre property.
The property features panoramic views of the surrounding Rocky Mountains, just 52 miles from Yellowstone National Park
As per the listing, the ranch contains “a Bureau of Land Management lease, sheds, equine facilities, corrals, and hay meadows. The lodge, commercial kitchen, go-cart track, and trophy trout fishing bring commercial opportunities. The views of the sandstone cliffs and Absaroka Mountains make it a premier Wyoming ranch investment.”
Kayne West reportedly recorded his 2018 solo album, Ye, Pusha T’s DAYTONA, Nas’ NASIR, and his collaboration, Kids See Ghosts, with Kid Cudi on the ranch
He previously spoke about digging for a project that would be “the size of a spaceship”. Kayne also spoke about creating “dome dwellings”. These would have been housing for guests at his ranch, there to see performances of his Sunday Service Choir.
According to US Weekly, Kayne feels jealous of the time and effort Kim puts into prison reform and their children. Indeed, the rapper wanted his family to move into the ranch with him. Kim, however, did not see herself leaving LA and living in Wyoming full-time.
