Let’s Not Forget About The Good Kanye Has Done

Kanye West has been one of the major subjects for writing within the past few weeks. Unfortunately, what has been written about him lately has not been all positive. Instead of focusing on the bad, let’s focus on all the good Kanye has done for himself and the hip hop industry. Here are some of Kanye’s biggest accomplishments in hip hop!

Kanye’s Biggest Accomplishments Should Be Remembered

Kanye West has made some major accomplishments for the music industry, and the impacts he has made will last a lifetime.

  1. Before Kanye became a rapper, he used to be a producer
    • In the early 2000’s, Kanye used to be a producer for Roc-A-Fella records. His biggest success while producing was Kanye’s major impact in The Blueprint by Jay-Z. During Kanye’s producing period, he also worked with Ludacris and Alicia Keys in producing some of their biggest hits. Thanks to his biggest accomplishments, he soon became an artist himself!
  2. Kanye’s First Grammy
    • Kanye West won his first Grammy in 2005 for the best album The College Dropout! This was Kanye’s first album that hit major streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, his songs made big hits for bigger accomplishments. In his speech, he emphasizes the importance to “appreciate every moment” with a sense of accomplishment.

  3. Jay-Z and Kanye teaming up for one of the best hip hop albums!
    • 2011’s Watch The Throne  became one of the most iconic albums yet. Kanye and Jay-Z worked closely in rapping out themes of fame, money, and social issues. Their best known tracks off the album are Ni**as In Paris and No Church In The Wild! So many amazing hits off the album made amazing accomplishments for the hip hop industry.

  4.  Kanye’s Yeezus album and tour
    • In 2013, Kanye released his album YeezusWith no clear album cover, it’s clear he was not trying to direct one message to his fans, but many different kinds of messages in his songs off the album. Kanye then did his Yeezus Tour, which was his first solo tour in 5 years! It became one of Kanye’s most iconic tours, making big accomplishments in hip hop, raising bars high for other artists.
  5.  Kanye’s proposal to Kim Kardashian
    • Okay, so maybe not hip hop related, but still one of Kanye’s biggest accomplishments! With fireworks, an orchestra, and a 15 carat diamond ring, it is a proposal nobody will forget! Why It’s Important To Recognize Kanye’s Accomplishments As Well As His Downfalls

Kanye West has done a lot for the hip hop industry for quite some time now. While the media often focuses on the bad, it’s also important to reflect on the good and major accomplishments made. Everyone is human, famous, or not. Here’s to you, Kanye West!
