Katt Williams is still a little disgruntled with Cedric the Entertainer about the alleged theft of his material.

In a recent interview, Katt Williams divulged his dissatisfaction with Cedric the Entertainer. Apparently, Cedric passed off William’s joke as his own without giving proper credit. And even 20 years after the incident, Katt still feels some kind of way.

Williams is an industry vet. His official comedic career dates back to 1999, performing in some of the hottest comedy clubs. And his career has been explosive ever since. Katt is passionate about his material, and who can blame him. When you work hard to build a career and a brand, you expect to receive credit for your material. However, Katt claims that Cedric the Entertainer is a joke thief. He is alleging that Cedric clutched his material to use on the Kings of Comedy Tour.

Katt was a bit surprised when the incident first occurred!

In a  recent interview, which follows the heels of his cancel culture interview, Williams was asked how he felt about intellectual property theft.  Katt recalls paying to attend a showing of The Kings of Comedy, only to hear Cedric tell his joke. He relays in the interview how crushing the blow felt listening to others applaud Cedric for his material.

“I paid my money to see The Kings of Comedy, and to see my joke being there and not me was about as disrespectful as it gets in our craft!”

Despite the frustration he felt, Williams did not let the experience break his stride. And according to William’s, he has moved on!

The question remains, but why would Cedric steal from William’s?

Now Cedric’s public career dates back to a 1992 appearance on Show Time at the Apollo. And his start, as Katt acknowledges in the interview, predates that of Williams. So, it is shocking to hear that an established comedian, such as Cedric would rip off material from someone his junior. According to sources, Cedric is yet to comment on the allegations. However, it appears that other viewers of the King’s of Comedy Tour can back Williams’ story. So, what is one to think?

In conclusion, if Katt’s claims are valid, Cedric’s behavior is pretty grimy. Nevertheless, we are simply happy that whatever went down did not affect Katt’s shine.
