A man was killed in Manhattan earlier this month (Dec. 16), and rapper Kay Flock is the alleged perpetrator.

Crime And Arrest

Bronx artist Kay Flock is in some hot water after a shooting homicide in his city. According to rap/gossip blogger DJ Akademiks, law enforcement arrested Kay Flock last night for the murder. Police have reportedly been in pursuit of the rapper since the shooting occurred.

Police are currently running with the idea of the shooting being gang-related. While this hasn’t been confirmed, New York has recently had a spike in gang-related crimes. Nonetheless, Kay Flock remains in custody and likely will be for the foreseeable future. The NYPD has released an image taken from surveillance footage.

DJ Akademiks reported earlier today (Dec. 24) that Kay Flock began arguing with a man after entering a Manhattan barbershop. The argument eventually escalated outside, where the alleged murder took place. NYPD claims Flock shot the man in the back and neck before exiting the scene. Surveillance footage also allegedly shows the 18-year-old rapper concealed by a mask.

Kay Flock’s Lawyer Speaks Out

Kay Flock faces the charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon. This comes after a successful year for the up-and-coming drill artist, with hits like ‘Not in the Mood’ and ‘Being Honest.’

Since the arrest, Kay Flock’s attorney Scott Leemon has released an official statement to XXL. “We have begun our own investigation into these allegations,” Leemon stated. “The NYPD received a tip saying someone else is the shooter. We demanded the DA’s office provide prompt disclosure of the videos referenced in the complaint and more information on the tip.”

Without a doubt, readers should stay tuned for developments in this harrowing story.
