The RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) has awarded Kanye West (Ye) with his first Diamond Plaque. “Stronger,” the 2007 single from West’s album Graduation, just reached a massive record. As of yesterday, October 6th, sales for the single reached the ten-millionth mark.

“Stronger”

Stronger,” is one of West’s most stellar releases. As Hypebeast indicates, “The track became Ye’s third No. 1 and eventually gave him a GRAMMY win for Best Rap Solo Performance.” Certifiably, West was on to something with the creation of this signature song. While the track’s lyrics seem to focus outward toward a love interest, it bears a more profound significance. “Stronger,” is a bit of an anthem summing up West’s trajectory, creative output, longevity in the industry. And ultimately,” Stronger’s” unforgettable and hard-hitting lyrics can be said to describe Ye’s pursuit of music’s holy grail.

” N- Now th- that don’t kill  me can only make me stronger. More than ever, hour after—our work is never over. work it harder, make it better. Do it faster, makes us stronger.”

Sales indicate that his fan base is still catching a vibe with what he was putting down.

West’s work ethic is almost unmatchable.

No matter how abstract his output, fans are there for his creativity. His drive and vision are often misunderstood, but he is considered a genius, nonetheless. And Ye’s got all the receipts to prove that those who love him far outshine any who don’t understand him. According to IMDB, West has over 114 award nominations and 30 wins throughout his career. And given how much Ye’ has appeared in the headlines over the recent months it is almost a given that the spotlight will continue to shine on the artist for some time come.
