Kendrick Lamar performed, “These Walls” On The Ellen Degeneres Show

On May 27^th, Kendrick Lamar performed, “These Walls” from his latest album To Pimp a Butterfly live on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

Compton’s lyrical genius rarely perform on daytime television, but thank the Rap God’s for allowing us view Kendrick’s lyrical masterpiece. During his performance, he was joined by a dancing couple and a painter who painted the dancers.

Afterward, Ellen congratulated Kendrick on winning a Grammy for his single, “i” and admitted that she loves to dance to the hit. Lamar has recently been honored as a positive icon and when asked what it means to him, his response:

“It means everything to me, because I know it’s a lot of kids in the neighborhood that’s watching TV and saying you know what I want to be a positive influence just like Kendrick Lamar or whoever is out there doing something good for the culture or the music”
