Fans of R&B are well familiar with Keyshia Cole. The magnetizing artist was a stand-out in the industry. Although she’s been absent for a minute, she’s back. As a result, the media is talking about some new revelations between her and EVE.
Cole’s Industry Presence
Not only did fans vibe to her music, but they connected to her openness. Most watched as she laid her life vulnerable with “The Way it Is!” She was a survivor. The masses watched as she seemed to rise above the pain. Her life was a saga many could identify with.
Like all stars, they sometimes implode and disappear for a bit. Keyshia Cole drifted off the scene for a minute. The artist’s last release was in 2017 with 11:11 Reset. The crooner is back. She recently appeared on TV One’s hit show “Uncensored.”
Cole on “Uncensored”
Uncensored is one of those groundbreaking shows that give viewers an in-depth view of behind the scenes of the artists and groups we’ve grown to love. Coles was an inaugural guest for the new season. She did not disappoint. She got real and raw about some things that fans were unaware of. Unfortunately, one of those revelations included souring her relationship with EVE.
Cole and EVE
Reportedly Cole and EVE had a friendship back in the day. However, one incident led to breaking ties. Cole indicates she didn’t understand it at the time. Cole admits that when she stood up for the Ruff Ryder Rapper, EVE wasn’t impressed.
What Went Down?
According to a source, Cole laid hands on someone who tried to lift EVE’s purse. However, EVE was taken aback. The singer recounts,
“I turned around and slapped the girl, Eve was really pissed off about that and we stopped hanging out.”
Understandably that could be mindboggling. Unfortunately, however, we are not privy to how others think.
The Lesson
Cole is honest in realizing she learned something.
“It took a long time [for me] to learn to not put my hands on people.”
Keyshia might not understand why EVE ghosted her. However, not everyone comes into our lives to stay.
Hopefully, both will find a way to reconcile because life is too short. Nothing is more beautiful than sisters uplifting sisters. If not, hopefully, both took something meaningful from their experience as friends.
Cole Going Forward
If you didn’t catch it, the Keyisha Cole episode of Uncensored is worth a watch, especially for fans. As an aside, the “Love” star is due to go on tour starting next month.
